1. I have pain over my shoulder and it is difficulty to move behind for last three weeks . can you please guide me what to do?

Your problem seems to be some muscle tighteness around the shoulder which may lead to stiffness and this may be due to wear and tera of the joint, you can try hot packs and if you visit your near by physiotherapist it will be better.

2. I am finding difficulty in walking immediately coming out from bed , I feel pricking pain over the heel and diabetic for last 10 years. Can you suggest me whether physiotherapy will help?

Well, the problem is either called as Plantar fascitis or calcaneal spur.This is due to the weakness of the foot muscles or over body weight were a paper like structure called fascia as inflamed and impinged by the bone called calcaneum.

Ultasonic therapy and ice packs for 2 weeks and STRICTLY you need do the foot and ankle and to strengthen the muscles , for the proper management you need some medications.

3. can you guide me how to maintain the correct sitting in front of the computer to avoid back problem ?

Normally it is advised to sit erect but it needs personal assessment and evaluation as per the individual's height and the desk condition,so please visit a physiotherapist or mail me your height and the desk height and hours of working.

4. My father had a stroke recently and now he find difficulty in walking comfortably without support. Will physiotherapy help to get better ?

Physiotherapy is doing a great help in stoke like it restore the functional movements as much as possible depends upon the severity of the lesion in the brain.As early you take attention we can expect good result.Team work for your father will do good.

5. I am having numbness and weakness on my thumb with neck pain for last 2 weeks.. can you suggest what to be done .. can physiotherapy rectify it ?

Your problem seems to be the nerve impingement in the neck at the level of c5 or c6.
For a correct management it needs the full history of your lifestyle,age,an recent fall an X-RAY for the cervical spine condition.opinion from spine surgeon and physiotherapy treatment for 2 weeks and following all the advices and regular exercises will help you in prevention.

6. I am 60 years old no sugar compliant, no pressure but I am feeling gidness and blackout when coming out from the bed. What type of physiotherapy is needed?

You may suffer from VERTIGO , physiotherapy will help but it has to go along with some simple eye ball and neck exercises

7.I had a fall recently and from then onwards I am finding the problem in my knee joint especially while climbing up the stairs. Do I need physiotherapy treatment ?

Yes you need therapy after assessing and investigating what is troubling ,like a muscle or ligamrnt or meniscus[cushion between your bones] .Many advanced treatments has come in the field for best result ,You can start with ice packs and later some machine treatment and therapeutic exercises is needed for you.

8. I am now at the 8 th month of pregnancy and I have pain over my lower back and sometimes I feel even difficulty in standing for more than 10 min. Can u suggest me some exercises.. since my gynecologist had advised..

During this period the muscle imbalance between abdominals and spinal creates this type of problem, better you can meet directly the physiotherapist were you can get correct care and my advice go for a gentle walk and maintain good posture, better to avoid any vigorous exercises.

9. What is the correct exercises for Osteo- arthritis for my knee joint. I tried some exercises from some magazine but the pain has increased..

There are about 40 therapeutic exercises for osteo-arthritis but it is not advisable to do all the exercises, maximum of 5 types as per your problem will do best. You can try with some hot packs and exercises like static thighs , knee bending, and high sitting strengthening exercises, avoid climbing the stairs and cross leg sitting.

10.I am suffering from neck pain for the last 3 weeks and my physician had advised me to go for physiotherapy u/s and tens and other managements.. Can u tell me how it helps to cure it .

You can have this for about 10 days and follow the exercises and posture correction.
Ultra sonic therapy is helpful in reducing the inflammation and increase the blood circulation locally and stimulates the pain reducing substances and TENS helps in controlling the pain by stimulating the deep tissues to relax and also its kind of electro gymnastic therapy
